| http://www.blisteredthumbs.net/2011/03/refacelift/....... How many fucking times do they HONESTLY THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS?! Fucking hell, man! I get that Re4 had fantastic gameplay, but good god, this is getting too damn ridiculous! We've got the following: Gamecube, Ps2, PC, Wii, Bundled in the Archives box set, now its being placed in ANOTHER boxset, and being ported to Xbox360 and Ps3. .... When will it fucking end? _________________ Obedience breeds discipline. Discipline breeds unity. Unity breeds power. Power is life. |

| Yeah this is getting ridiculous. Leave older gen games in the older gens. |

| Deadly Silence got me incredibly moist. I'd love to see Re2, 3, and CV ported to the DS! But yeah, enough RE4. It seems to pop up again every year. _________________ |

| ...If you don't like it, don't buy it. No law proclaims you have to purchase EVERY RE that comes out. Just ignore it, and accept that this is good for the new gen people that don't want to buy old gamecubes because 4 is not for PS3.
I AM speaking sorely from my experience with RE0 and REmake, of course, but I still don't think I'll buy this new pack for RE4. considering I own it on PS2. CV, on the other hand... Direct ports are lame, expecially 10 years later, but if CV gets any new upgrade at all, I'll instantly buy it. |

I don't like it because of the absurdity of it all. It's just like with special edition dvd sets and what not. You buy the original when it comes out cause you like the movie. Then a year or two later they come out with a special edition with a few new features, maybe some extra content. Then a year or two later they come out with a collector's edition, with all the extras and tidbits from the previous edition, with a few more bits of extra material. Then they release a anniversary edition that contains all the special tidbits form the other special editions, with a few extra lil tidbits. It keeps going and going and going! Why? Because people are stupid enough to buy the same product again and again and again, with no real extras to be had. Theres no reason for them to keep bringing out re4 but they continue to do so. It's insulting at this point.... _________________ Obedience breeds discipline. Discipline breeds unity. Unity breeds power. Power is life. |

| There's a huge reason. Not EVERYONE owns an old gen system. The more newer consoles a good game is on, the better.
I can only hope for RE0 and REmake to get a REREmake. 2 and 3 could use one as well. |

| RE4 was already on the PS2. PS2 games work on the PS3, so porting it to that system is just..... But yeah, I suppose this is good for newfags that began their gaming career with a 360. I'm happy for them. Now that they've made a port for every system except the Dreamcast, maybe they'll get started on RE6. _________________ |

This would be a valid argument if the new gens had been out closer to RE4's release, but it wasn't. Re4 was launched on Jan 11 2005 in the states, and the ps3 didn't launch until nov 17 2006 with the wii coming out in 2 days later. Not that it really mattered since neither system really had that many units to sell... It wouldn't be until another couple of years before any of the new gen systems actually made it to a large number of homes. We didn't get the Wii version of Re4 and Re0 til 2008, 3 years after the game was originally launched. By then we'd already had a ps2, pc and handheld ports. It's a bit weak to assume that anyone who has owned a console in the past 6 or 7 years hasn't played re4 at some point or another, unless they just don't play games like it. As trigger said the ps3 is backwards compatible, so you can play the ps2 port with no need to go out and pay 30-40 dollars for the "HD" re-re-re-re-relaunch. If this were a remake of re2 or re3, hell yea, I'd be all for it. But it isn't, it's the same old re4 for the ps2 that was released not even a year after its original launch for the Gamecube. Only now it's been spit-shined in hopes you're vain enough to buy their product because it looks nicer. _________________ Obedience breeds discipline. Discipline breeds unity. Unity breeds power. | Also there's the point that RE4 plays like shit on everything but the gamecube imo.
The controls work well on the Gamecube but the PS2 and Wii versions I played didn't really work. Especially when it came to turning or otherwise maneuvering for some reason. |

| Not all PS3's are backward compatible. I would know, I own one.
I still stand by the fact that this will be a worthwhile release, even if I won't be buying it.
Besides, they're probably just trying to make the CV remake worth the price by bundling it with a different game. |

| its not a remake, the only thing they're doing is brushing up the visuals to be high definition. _________________ Obedience breeds discipline. Discipline breeds unity. Unity breeds power. Power is life. |
